Go Organic Africa 

Go Organic Africa (GOA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 with the mission to enhance the livelihood of vulnerable families in southwestern Uganda through organic farming and permaculture practices. GOA empowers communities to access clean water, grow nutritious food and generate income through sustainable agriculture, while simultaneously restoring the vibrant ecosystem of southwestern Uganda. 

GOA was co-founded by Alphonse Twinamatsiko and Alex Atuheire. Both Alphonse and Alex grew up in poverty in southwestern Uganda and understand firsthand the challenges that rural families in the area experience. Alphonse and Alex began working as young children to support their families. For seven years, Alphonse paid for his school fees with rabbits!

The Go Organic Africa team consists of six volunteers, all of whom are local Ugandans, extremely dedicated to the mission and putting in endless hours of hard work and service.

Impact AO Foundation

Go Organic Africa has partnered with Impact AO Foundation to realize the Dream Village. Impact AO invests in local talent and ingenuity to improve health and vitality in under-resourced communities and has been working with GOA for over 7 years on multiple projects. Impact AO facilitates program design, project planning, impact assessment and funding the Dream Village.

Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots

The Dream Village is a Roots and Shoots affiliated program supported by Amatsiko Preparatory School in Kabale Uganda and Seven Arrows Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA. The Dream Village embraces the essence of Jane Goodall’s mission to conserve our environment while simultaneously alleviating poverty. Roots and Shoots is a youth-led global community action program that helps young people become the informed, compassionate citizens that the world so urgently needs. Roots and Shoots provides support and education materials for our students at Amatsiko Preparatory School, Seven Arrows Elementary and our Go Organic Africa team to be effective agents of change.
